Established in 1906, The English Association is the oldest established association in the UK for all those interested in English at all levels, from primary to higher education. Its aim is to further knowledge, understanding and enjoyment of the English language and its literatures and to foster good practice in its teaching and learning at all levels. In 2006 the English Association launched a new Monograph Series - English Association Studies, which is now published by Liverpool University Press.
