Chambers is currently indexing (by surname) the Home Office Criminal Petitions held at the Public Record Office in HO 17 Home Office: Criminal Petitions, Series I, 1819-39 and HO 18 Home Office: Criminal Petitions, Series II, 1839-54. Two separate indexes covering a portion of the petitions contained in HO 17 have now been produced. These are Petitions Index, 1819-39, Part 1: HO 17/40-49 and Petitions Index, 1819-39, Part 2: HO 17/50-59. These indexes give the county and court of conviction and also indicates which petitions relate to those convicted of riot or machine breaking Google Scholar
