157 NOTE TO CONTRIBUTORS Québec Studies publishes articles dealing with all aspects of Quebec society and French-Canadian culture. The editors of Québec Studies welcome interpretive or theoretical essays, book reviews, and interviews in all fields of the humanities and social sciences. Interdisciplinaryh essays are particularly encouraged. Issues devoted in part to a single topic or major cultural figure will appear regularly. Articles may be in French or English. Submissions should be 15-20 pages in length, including endnotes, typed double-spaced, and conform to the MLA Style Manual (1985). The Worh Cited or Ouvrages cités section should list all works consulted by the author. Unneccessary endnotes are to be avoided. "Usually the author's last name and a page reference are enough to identify the source and the specific location from which you have borrowed material" (MLA Handbook 5.2). All normally italicized words, including titles, should be underlined in the manuscript. Unwarranted genderized language should be avoided. A separate title page should include the manuscript title and the author's name and address. In order to ensure anonymity, the author's name should not appear on the manuscript. Authors will need to provide a copy of the manuscript on a computer sidkette if it is accepted for publication. Please send three copies of manuscript and include a stamped self-addressed envelope. Authoris are encouraged to use one of the following software programs: XYWrite, Nota Bene, MacWrite, Microsoft Word, or Word Perfect — save in Option 3 — generic WP.
