Visions D'Anna Ou L'Écriture Du Vertige De Marie-Claire Blais

Quebec Studies (1993), 17, (1), 117–124.

Abstract

In Marie-Claire Blais' novel Visions d'Anna (1982) everything concurs to produce a vertiginous effect: its narrative code, its structure, the motifs of drifting and captivity developed therein. The article examines the ways and means used by the author to convey her characters' vertigo in the face of a crumbling world while at the same time drawing the reader into the same vertiginous experience.
