Abstract

Dans sa première et longue narration, Gail Scott fixe son attention sur le concepte de "l'héroine." Elle peut donc employer la fiction pour démontrer les théories actuelles féministes qui traitent de la langue et du genre (et littéraire et sexuel). Heroine mélange aussi des observations historiques, politiques et personnelles à bien des égards qui mettent en relief des changements majeurs au Québec aux années soixante-dix pendant qu'ils posent des questions sur les penchants fréquents, romantiques, nostalgiques et masculins des radicaux politiques.
