Abstract

Cet article cherche à comprendre et à expliquer les motifs d'une campagne de syndicalisation au sein d'une usine de vêtements et de textiles à Montréal. Il étudie les origines et suit les péripéties de cette campagne, tout en portant une attention spéciale aux questions de genre et d'ethnicité, ainsi qu'aux rôles joués par le syndicat et le patron au cours de cette lutte ouvrière. L'article se termine par dresser un bilan de cette campagne, qui se soldait par un échec.
