Abstract

Notes on Contributors Notes on Contributors Notes on Contributors Charles R. Batson is Associate Professor of French and Francophone Studies at Union College, Schenectady, NY. He is the author of Dance, Desire, and Anxiety in Early Twentieth-Century French Theatre (Ashgate, 2005) and co-editor of a 2012 special double issue of Contemporary French Civilization. He has published widely on French and Francophone cultural production and performance and is currently co-editing with Louis Patrick Leroux a compendium of essays on Québec’s contemporary circus, Cirque Global: Québec’s Expanding Circus Boundaries (McGill Queen’s, forthcoming). Karine Bertrand est professeure adjointe au département de Film and Media Studies de Queen’s University et co-directrice du groupe de recherche AEPI (esthétique et politique de l’image) à l’Université d’Ottawa. Ses recherches portent sur les cinémas autochtones et inuit, ainsi que sur le road movie canadien et québécois. Ses plus récentes publications portent sur le cinéma autochtone et sont publiés dans Studies in French Cinema (2013) et American Review of Canadian Studies (2013). Michel Dorais est professeur titulaire à l’École de service social de l’Université Laval, où il enseigne principalement la prévention, la recherche, et l’intervention sociale. Dominique D. Fisher is Professor of French and Francophone Studies at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Her recent publications include Écrire L’urgence and several articles on the literatures and films of the Maghreb, Lebanon, and Québec. She is currently working on a book on FrancoArabophone films.
