11 Editor's Note This special issue of Québec Québec Studies Studies isis the the product product of of aa unique unique partnership partnership between the American Council for Québec Studies, the Institute on Québec Studies at SUNY Plattsburgh, Plattsburgh, and the Québec Studies Program at McGill University. As the compilers of this collection collection of essays, Stephan Gervais, Christopher Kirkey, and Jarrett Rudy will describe the genesis of their propro­ ject and the colloquium that they organized in conjunction with the ACQS Conference in Burlington in November 2010. They will also present the five texts by six authors that are included in this volume. Studies. Our editorial team then sent the articles to disciplinary experts for a second and rigorous round of evaluations. The articles included in this volume all went through through a peer-review process. Some of the original articles did not survive the blind review and several were extensively revised and then re-evaluated before being accepted for publication. We thank the many readers who were diligent in assisting us in readying these essays for publication. The SUNY Plattsburgh Institute on Québec Studies, the McGill The University Québec Studies Program, and the American Council for Québec Studies are pleased to offer this special issue focusing on the contributions of new scholars interested in Québec to ACQS members and Québec of Québec Studies Studies subscribers.
