• community planning and participation
• social cohesion and spatial inequalities
• housing area planning and development
• urban design and conservation
• environmental planning and sustainable development
• transport and infrastructure planning
• rural planning and development
• governance and institutions

Other features
Among TPR’s other features, the widely welcomed ‘Viewpoint’ gives the opportunity for a short personal view to be expressed on a current planning research topic, while the ‘Commentary’ section gives a platform for longer pieces of a similar kind. Other regular features include ‘Policy & Practice’ discussions, ‘Conference Reports’ and ‘Book Reviews’. The editors welcome suggestions for each of these features. If you are interested in reviewing a book for TPR please contact the book reviews editor, Paul Cowie.
