International Journal of English for Academic Purposes: Research and Practice is a peer-reviewed platform for the open access publication of research and practice in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) teaching and learning. The aim of the journal is to publish on both practice and research in the field of EAP. It is a peer reviewed international journal with a global editorial board of experts.
The journal is published twice a year in partnership with the Asia Pacific EAP Association, China EAP Association, BALEAP and
Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, China. The first issue was published in March
2021.
The focus of the journal is the investigation of principles and practices in English-language learning and teaching for academic purposes within tertiary education. Possible topics include, but will not be limited to:
- EAP practice and theories
- EAP curriculum design
- EAP classroom action research
- EAP teaching pedagogy
- EAP assessment and evaluation
- EAP writing theory and practice
- EAP and information technology
- EAP and teacher development

International Journal of English for Academic Purposes: Research and Practice would like to welcome submissions for teaching practice and theoretical articles in the EAP field.
International Journal of English for Academic Purposes: Research and Practice is a peer-reviewed journal for the open access publication.
The purpose of the journal is to publish research in the field of EAP theory and practice as it relates to all sub disciplines within EAP, such as Social Science, Business, Science, Engineering, Architecture and Maths, among others. It will publish both theoretical articles and practical focus including EAP practice papers, case studies, research papers and book reviews in the field of EAP regionally and internationally. It will also consider special editions for particular topics or areas. No publishing fee is required.
